My Web Design Process: What to Expect When You Work With Me

First things first, we hop on a Google Teams call or we chat via email/text. I want to learn all about your business, your goals, your dream website vibe, and your biggest pet peeves (pop-ups, anyone?). This is where I ask the fun stuff:

• Who’s your ideal client?

• What do you want your site to do?

• Do you like clean and minimal or bold and colorful?

It’s like a first date… but with fewer awkward silences and more talk about fonts.

Once I know what makes your brand tick, I create a custom game plan. This includes:

• A sitemap (aka your website’s blueprint)

• Wireframes (basic layout sketches)

• A timeline so you know exactly what’s happening & when

This is where we make sure we’re building the right site before I dive into design mode.

Here’s where the fun begins. I start designing your homepage first (the star of the show), then move on to the other key pages. You’ll get mockups to review, tweak, and approve, because this is a collaboration, not a dictatorship.

Expect plenty of pretty pixels, intentional layouts, and maybe a tiny obsession over button colors.

Once the design is approved, I turn it into a fully functional website. Responsive, speedy, and SEO-friendly. Then I test it on multiple browsers, devices, and screen sizes to make sure it works perfectly everywhere (even on that one iPhone from 2017).

Once everything is tested and triple-checked, we hit the big red button: LAUNCH. I’ll make sure your site goes live smoothly, and I’ll stick around to make sure nothing breaks while the internet gods adjust.

You’ll get a walkthrough of your new site, so you know how to update content, add blog posts, or make changes without breaking anything (promise). I also offer post-launch support, because I’m not about ghosting after we go live.

My process is built to be clear, collaborative, and dare I say...fun. Designing your website shouldn’t feel like pulling teeth or decoding tech jargon. It should feel like creating your digital home… together.
